A 24-year-old taxi driver was found shot in the head in Delhi’s Badarpur area. Police have arrested two people connected to the case. The victim, identified as Gautam Saini, is in critical condition and receiving treatment at AIIMS.
The incident came to light when Apollo Hospital informed the Badarpur Police Station about a medico-legal case involving a man with a gunshot wound to the head. Gautam, a resident of Gurugram, worked as a taxi driver. He was later shifted to AIIMS, where doctors said his condition remains critical but stable. Legal steps have been initiated and further investigation is going on.
In another incident a day earlier, a 20-year-old man was found unconscious with a head injury and stab wounds near the Badarpur Bus Stand. According to police, the body was found around 4:35 am on Mathura Road, close to Bus Stand Number 5 at Badarpur Border. Officers patrolling the area noticed the man bleeding from the back of his head. A patrol team and an emergency response vehicle rushed the man to AIIMS Trauma Centre around 5:30 am, but he was declared dead on arrival.
The police identified the deceased as Makbul Akram, a 20-year-old man from Gali No. 04, Shyam Colony, Faridabad. He originally came from West Champaran, Bihar. A Crime Team was called to the location to inspect the scene and collect photographic evidence. Police are currently investigating to find out what exactly happened and who is responsible for the young man’s death.
